Domaine Jean Touzot, Vielles Vignes Chardonnay, Mâcon-Villages 2022

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose is fragrant and offers a slight sweetness. It expresses notes of juicy and sweet stone fruits (ripe yellow peach, apricot, yellow plum), combined with fresh notes of lemon, lemon zest, citron, green pear, as well as floral notes (linden, acacia), with fine touch of oolong tea, acacia honey and a delicate chalky hint. On the palate, the wine is chiselled and precise. It expresses notes of lemon zest, lemon, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, crunchy apricot, green pear, as well as a floral (acacia, lime blossom) and honeyed touch. The finish is persistent, with a lively acidity, a slight bitterness and a mineral and saline touch in the background. A structured wine, with concentration and freshness.
