Domaine Hubert, Origines 2020 – Châteaumeillant

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers brightness, expression, fruit and a slight smokiness and spiciness. It expresses notes of red cherry, strawberry, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, roasted red cherry and blackberry jam, combined with notes of white pepper, cloves, smoke, dried mint, licorice, as well as peony and violet, with a fine toasted note in the background. The palate is silky and tasty, with concentrated but airy fruitiness and a pronounced spiciness. We find notes of fresh morello cherry, ripe red cherry (even macerated), crushed strawberry, ripe raspberry, raspberry coulis, as well as spicy touches (clove, white pepper, licorice) with a hint of toasted hazelnut and fresh flowers (peony, iris). There is acertain fullness of the ripe and slightly sweet fruity notes on the palate, carried by a beautiful structure of tannins, a good level of acidity and a slight bitterness which balances the very ripe and macerated hint of the fruit. Good length
