Domaine des Beaumont – Les Chardannes 2018 – Chambolle-Musigny

The nose is fruity and offers minerality, a small freshness, complexity as well as a multi-layer side. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of violet, blackberry, small notes of pulpy cassis associated with touches of cornflower, raspberry as well as a very discreet hint of graphite/racy minerality, nutmeg, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of cuben pepper and an imperceptible hint of bergamot (in the background). The palate is fruity, beautifully elegant, delicate, precise, aerial and offers a certain purity of the fruit, complexity, a melodious side, a certain richness (full of justness) and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, juicy/pulpy blackberry, small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with touches of cornflower, crushed blueberry, violet as well as a subtle hint of tonka bean, liquorice stick, vanilla pod and a discreet hint of rose wood. Very fine hints of dark chocolate, caramelization/toasted and hazelnut on the persistence/aftertaste. A very beautiful persistence. Tannins are elegant, precise and racy. A wine full of gourmandize and delicacy. (+16 caudalies)
