Domaine de Guilhon – HORS D’AGE – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is elegant, fine, powerful and charming. It reveals notes of dried fruits, almonds, walnuts and slight notes of candied fruit associated with a touch of pear compote, small notes of rancio, a hint of orange peel, caramel and small spices (vanilla, cardamom, hint of cinnamon and a fine touch of Sichuan pepper). The palate is fruity, well structured, relatively gourmand and offers suavity, elegance, finesse and a small freshness. In the mouth this Armagnac expresses notes of candied orange, pear in syrup and a touch of honey, toffee combined with a discreet touch of candied orange peel, a discreet hint of candied lemon as well as a discreet touch of rancio, sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon) and slight touches of flowers. Good length and persistence.
