Domaine CapMartin – Vieilles Vignes 2015 – Madiran

The nose is aromatic and offers power as well as elegance and a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis, small black fruits associated with touches of pepper, spices, strawberry as well as an imperceptible touch of violet / lys and discreet toasted hints. The palate is fresh, fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a beautiful juiciness, elegance, a small straightness, a good structure as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy cassis, crushed wild blackberries associated with slight touches of small berries, crunchy strawberries, crunchy red currants as well as discreet hints of flowers and spices, a discreet hint of liquorice and an imperceptible hint of tobacco (in the background). Tannins are fine, well-built, structuring and currently young. There is a very discreet hint of almond on the finish. Persistence offers chew and gourmandise.
