Domaine Bertrand – Pisse-Vieille 2015 – Brouilly

The nose is fruity and offers a slight gourmandise and a slight juiciness. It reveals notes of juicy blackberry, juicy blueberry and strawberry combined with hints of spice, green cardamom as well as an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper and racy minerality (quartz). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful juicy / acid frame, a beautiful definition, a slight fat, elegance as well as a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed raspberry and slight notes of blueberry associated with slight toasted touches as well as touches of crushed cardamom, chocolate and a very discreet hint of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good persistence.
