Domaine Baud Génération 9 – Vin Jaune 2012 – Côtes du Jura

The nose is fruity, very slightly tight and offers a small gourmandise. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of quince, yellow apple and small notes of zest associated with very slight touches of curry/épices, dried lemon as well as a discreet hint of lemon blossom, flint and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, a racy minerality, a fine gourmandise, suavity, a fine freshness as well as a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon, juicy kumquat and small notes of juicy mirabelle plum associated with a touch of pear, spices as well as discreet hints of toasted almond / hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of brioche. Beautiful acidulous and gourmande. There is an imperceptible hint of dried almond on the aftertaste.
