Distillerie Garnier – 6 ans – Vieux Calvados 

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers juiciness as well as a beautiful fruit. It reveals notes of apple, flowers and citrus associated with a touch of zest, mirabelle plum, beeswax as well as a very discreet hint of pepper and saffron (in the background). The palate is fruity, round, well-balanced and offers a fine fresh frame, fleshiness, a fine unctuosity, power, a good definition, precision, power as well as gourmandise. On the palate this Calvados expresses notes of cooked apple and pear associated with small notes of citrus zest, crunchy physalis, flowers / crunchy yellow berries as well as discreet hints of caramelization, grilled oak and Grey pepper. Good length and persistence. There is a very discreet hint of hazelnut on the finish / persistence.
