Distillerie Garnier – 20 ans – Très Vieux Calvados 

The nose is fruity, aromatic, beautifully built and offers concentration. It reveals notes of apple cooked in butter, lemon zest, quince and small notes of apple associated with fine touches of purple flowers, cider as well as discreet hints of cinnamon / spices, cedar wood and an imperceptible hint of white pepper (in the background). The palate is beautifully balanced, elegant, unctuous, suave, beautifully gourmande and offers fleshiness / juiciness, an acidulous frame, a fine mineral frame, tension, roundness as well as a good precision. On the palate this Calvados express notes of fleshy peach, quince and fleshy / juicy apple combined with small / fine touches of violet flowers, rose, cooked yellow plum, toasted almond as well as a hint of rancio and vanilla. Good length. There is an imperceptible hint of grilled / grilled hazelnut on the persistence / aftertaste. A beautiful Calvados!
