Dartigalongue – 1997 Single Cask – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is fruity, suave, gourmand, straight and relatively dry / powerful. It reveals notes of dried lemon zest, dried grapefruit zest and discreet notes of candied citrus associated with a hint of dried apple as well as discreet notes of tobacco and rancio (very discreet). The palate is fruity, fine, elegant, soft, well-balanced, well built, straight, suave, gourmand, relatively depth and offers a fine fresh frame, fat, a good structure and a nice definition. In the mouth this Armagnac expresses notes of citrus dried, roasted cocoa and a hint of coffee, apple, white fruit combined with a discreet note of pear, lychee as well as a fine notes of rose, oak, slight notes of spice and a hint of gray pepper. Good length and good persistence. A powerful but perfectly balanced Armagnac !
