Dartigalongue 1988 – Bas-Armagnac

(Bottled : June 2020. 45%) The nose is elegant, delicate and offers richness as well as a beautiful balance. It reveals notes of candied kumquat, candied quince and small notes of apricot in syrup associated with small touches of Zante currants, dried white fruits as well as touches of cedar, rancio, crème brûlée, a very discreet hint of dry oak, dry wheat and vanilla pod. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy / slightly acidulous frame, a small freshness, a fine juiciness, gourmandise, precision, a small suavity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the palate, this Armagnac expresses notes of juicy nectarine, crushed nectarine and small notes of apple associated with touches of kumquat, quince as well as fine hints of apricot in syrup, rancio, cedar, blond tobacco sweet and nougatine. Good length.
