Corte Pavone – Fiore del Vento 2013 – Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

The nose is fruity and offers power as well as a good definition. It reveals notes of cherry, blackberry and small notes of small berries / cassis associated with fine hints of nutmeg, violet, spices as well as discreet toasted hints and pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fresh / mineral frame, a good definition, a small tension, a good structure, a fine straightness as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of cherry / wild strawberry associated with fine touches of violet, cardamom, spices as well as discreet hints of tobacco and nutmeg. Tannins are elegant, structuring and very slightly dry. There are hints of cocoa, toasted / caramelized and crushed almond on the persistence.
