Clos Gautier – Clos du Château 2015 – Côtes de Provence

Clos Gautier – Clos du Château 2015 – Côtes de Provence

The nose is fruity, finely tight, racy and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, fleshy strawberry and small notes of Boysenberry associated with fine touches of crushed ripe redcurrants, licorice, black olive as well as fine touches of wood and chocolate / tonka bean. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, well-built, finely fleshy, a bit gourmande and offers a nice mineral frame, finesse, fine suavity, freshness as well as a fine juiciness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, blackberry and fleshy strawberry combined with fine hints of ripe raspberry, fine touches of toasted oak, sweet spices, mocha as well as a very discreet hint of black olive and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length.
