Clos du Roi – L’Intemporelle N°4 – Coulanges-La-Vineuse

The nose is aromatic and offers a certain complexity, a fine grain, a fine richness as well as a very fine flowery side. It reveals notes of cherry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of Boysenberry associated with touches of crushed berry fruits, violet, zan, nutmeg, racy minerality as well as a very discreet hint of pepper and an imperceptible hint of tonka bean (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a mineral frame, richness, roundness, energy as well as a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy / juicy cherry and small notes of cherry blossoms, violets associated with touches of ripe strawberries as well as fine hints of purple plum, lily, chocolate and toasted almond. A very discreet bitterness on the aftertaste.
