Clemente VII 2015 – Chianti Classico Riserva

Clemente VII 2015 – Chianti Classico Riserva

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers a fine concentration, a fine grain as well as a fine complexity. It reveals notes of blackberries, small flowers / cornflower and small notes of blue berries associated with fine touches of cassis, graphite as well as discreet hints of pepper and a subtle hint of garrigue. The wine needs to be put in a carafe. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very discreetly tight and offers a juicy / very slightly acidulous frame, tension, a fine freshness as well as a beautiful finesse of fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of cornflower / olive tree associated with fine touches of black cherry, small blue fruits as well as subtle hint of laurel / sense of place. Tannins are structuring. Good length. Presence of very discreet hints of cocoa / roasting / almond on the finish / persistence.
