Château Viella Tradition 2021 – Madiran

Château Viella Tradition 2021 – Madiran

The wine has a deep ruby color with purplish reflections. The nose expresses the freshness of tangy red fruits (red cherry, red currant) with a subtle bitterness of cranberries and the roundness of crunchy black fruits (blackcurrant, black plum). There is also herbaceous notes of mint, menthol and liquorice and fine spicy notes of white pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, the attack is round and generously fruity, with notes of blackcurrant, crème de cassis, black plum, prunes in chocolate and sour cherries. In the mid-palate, we find the refreshing and tasty side of peppermint and black pepper. The tannins have a velvety and very pleasant texture, but also a typical power for Madiran. The finish is long, sweet and fresh at the same time, thanks to its pure and expressive fruity side and nice acidity. A well-structured, powerful and balanced wine.
