Château Tour Saint-Fort 2018 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a fine/tight grain as well as a certain intensity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of small red berries associated with touches of small flowers, cherry blossom as well as hints of cassis, vanilla and a very discreet hint of bergamot. The palate is fruity, racy and offers freshness, minerality, a good definition, juiciness as well as a fine tension, a small deepness and a fine unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, unctuous raspberry and small notes of bright cherry associated with touches of cornflower, cherry blossom as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate, toasted, a subtle hint of bergamot and toasted hazelnut. Good length. Tannins are well-built and racy.
