Château Sainte Barbe 2020, Bordeaux Supérieur

Château Sainte Barbe 2020, Bordeaux Supérieur

On the nose, aromatic and offers power, a certain concentration as well as a small density. It reveals notes of ripe black berries, violets and, lighter, grey pepper combined with hints of toast, wild strawberry, tobacco and a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, fruity, mineral, balanced, tightly structured and offers a juicy/mineral frame, some tension, roundness and a certain gourmandize. The wine expresses notes of plummy/juicy plum, blue berry and slightly bursting raspberry associated with hints of tobacco, licorice, toasted hazelnut and a subtle hint of smoke. Good length. A persistence on notes of vanilla.
