Château Pontet-Canet 2009 – Pauillac – 5ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose reveals notes of ripe black fruit combined with spices, ripe cassis and a slight touch of vanilla and a touch of cinnamon associated with spices and subtle woody notes. The notes reveals a “fleshy side”. The palate is dense, smooth/suave, powerful, balanced, smooth, silky, perfectly harmonious and expresses a texture with a good weight. Beautiful creamy and silky texture in the mouth. Great precision and “gourmandise”/greediness in the mouth. It expresses notes of fleshy fruit, crushed/jammy strawberry, fig and plum combined with a touch of spices (especially vanilla) in the background. Good lenght.
