Château Plain-Point 2020, Fronsac

Château Plain-Point 2020, Fronsac
On the nose, fruity, aromatic and offers some freshness, intensity and a discreet tightness. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, fleshy/fresh strawberry and more lightly of fresh berries/burstings associated with hints of fresh lily, fresh violet, fleshy/fresh plum, toastiness as well as hints of vanilla and a subtle touch of hazelnut. On the palate, fruity, fresh and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, gourmandise, creamy character, nice fleshy/ripe/fresh fruit and airy character. The wine expresses fleshy/juicy blackberry, creamy black currant and more lightly fleshy/juicy raspberry notes combined with hints of vanilla, fleshy blueberry, chocolate as well as fine toasty, toasted hazelnut and a discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco (in the background). Good length. The tannins are present, numerous and relatively mellow. Some mellowness on the finish. A very discreet point of roasting on the persistence.
