Château Patache d’Aux 2016 – Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, fruity and offers a fine concentration as well as a fine deepness. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe wild blackberry and more slightly gray pepper associated with small touches of flowers as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers suavity a good definition, precision, a very fine tension, a beautiful freshness as well as a small juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry and juicy/crunchy cassis associated with small notes of crunchy/juicy raspberry as well as a touch of crunchy cherry, flowers (violet, rose) and discreet hints of liquorice. Tannins are structuring. There is a very discreet hint of chocolate on the finish/persistence.
