Château Paloumey 2016 – Haut-Médoc

The nose reveals notes of fresh cassis and raspberry/crunchy red berries associated with hints of flowers (iris, violet), blackberry, black cherry as well as very discreet hints of toasted/sweet spices. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers freshness, a good structure, fat as well as a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe blackberry, crushed raspberry and slight notes of cassis/crushed red berries associated with hints of toasted oak as well as a hint of vanilla and a very discreet/imperceptible hint of grilled oak (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length.
