The nose is aromatic and offers power, a small elegance, a good freshness as well as intensity. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, blackberry and small notes of spices associated with a touch of fresh leather, ripe blueberry as well as very fine hints of peony, liquorice, gray pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, juicy and offers a good definition, juiciness, minerality, a beautiful freshness, a good finesse of the grain, gourmandize, a good volume as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy/fleshy blackberry and small notes of acidulous/juicy red berries associated with fine touches of violet, liquorice stick as well as a subtle hint of cornflower and vanilla. Good length.
