Château Monlot 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic and offers power, elegance, a good freshness as well as intensity. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, blackberry and small notes of spices associated with a touch of fresh leather, ripe blueberry as well as very fine hints of peony, licorice, gray pepper and spices. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced, juicy and offers a good definition, juiciness, minerality, a beautiful freshness, a good finesse of the grain, gourmandise, a good volume as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy / fleshy blackberry and small notes of juicy / acidulous red berries associated with fine touches of violet, licorice stick as well as a subtle hint of cornflowers and vanilla. Good length.
