Château Maillet 2021 – Pomerol

Château Maillet 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is elegant and shows a certain delicacy in its richness, mastered power, a nice finesse of grain and precision. The wine is fine like a silk cloth with thousands of small threads. We find notes of bright blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly blueberry combined with delicate nuances of vanilla, blueberry as well as fine touches of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and reveals freshness, minerality, a nice definition, volume, some richness and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright blackcurrant and more lightly bright red berries combined with a touch of blueberry, crushed cherry as well as light hints of bourbon vanilla, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of cardamom.
