Château Magrez Fombrauge 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Magrez Fombrauge 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, precise, well-built, elegant and offers a fine richness as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed wild cassis and cornflower/lily associated with fine touches of small wild red fruits, Sichuan pepper, coffee as well as subtle hints of spices. The palate is fruity, fleshy, well-built and offers a fine unctuosity as well as gourmandise. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed wild cassis and more slightly wild strawberry associated with fine touches of chocolate, toasted, caramelized almond as well as subtle touches of racy minerality, a fine touch of gray pepper (in the background) and very discreet touches of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length. There is a hint of cocoa, spices, black tea and caramelized almond on the finish.
