Château Les Graves de Viaud – Terroir 2014 – Côtes de Bourg

The nose is fresh, fruity, racy, slightly tight and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of fresh cassis, wild blackberry and slight notes of wild small berries associated with a hint of crushed strawberry, clay as well as hints of spices/pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, freshness as well as a beautiful juiciness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry and cassis associated with slight notes of crushed strawberry, fresh raspberry as well as hints of sweet spices, woody hints and a very discreet hint of truffle (in the background). Tannins are fine and a bit dry. Good length.
