Château Le Rey – Les Rocheuses 2017 – Castillon Cotes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fresh, crunchy and offers intensity. It reveals notes of vanilla, toasted notes and wild blackberry combined with slight touches of fresh / crunchy red fruits, slight touches of sweet spices as well as an imperceptible touch of Cuben pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, slightly tight and offers a beautiful definition, tension, freshness, an acid frame, a beautiful freshness, density, fat, a bit aerial side as well as a small unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy cassis and small notes of red berries associated with slight touches of cherry, racy minerality, toasted oak, blond tobacco as well as subtle toasted hints and an imperceptible hint of flowers. Good length and good persistence. There is a hint of toasted almond and a very discreet toasted hint on the persistence.
