Château La Tour de By 2018 – Médoc

The nose is aromatic and offers a fine power and freshness. It reveals notes of ripe/fresh cassis, wild blackberry and small notes of wild raspberry associated with very fine hints of flowers, spices and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper, graphite as well as an imperceptible hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, a good definition, a fine tension and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of red fruits associated with fine touches of violet, wild small berries as well as very fine hints of graphite, cardamom and a very fine hint of spices on the finish. Juiciness, gourmandize and a very fine hint of chocolate on the finish/persistence as well as a fine sapidity, gourmandize and a very discreet chew.
