The nose is fruity with concentration, elegance and good definition. There are notes of boysenberry, blueberry and slightly crushed dark berries combined with hints of fleshy/pulpy strawberry and fine black tea/infusion and Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fresh and reveals minerality, freshness, elegance, harmony and concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, fresh blackcurrant and more lightly violet combined with hints of fresh raspberry as well as hints of toast, tonka bean and fine hints of sweet spices and a discreet hint of black tea and a subtle hint of caramelised almond. The tannins are well managed.
