Château Haut Carles 2015 – Fronsac

Château Haut Carles 2015 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity and offers a small finesse, richness as well as gourmandise. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, crushed strawberry and chocolate combined with touches of ripe redcurrant / raspberry as well as a subtle hint of blossom and wood / vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, a bit tight, silky and offers gourmandise, a fine tension, a fine acid frame and a good definition. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of wild strawberry, redcurrant, cherry and touches of blackberry, black cherry combined with discreet touches of toasted wood, caramelization as well as a subtle hint of coffee, vanilla and a very discreet / imperceptible hint of ripe bell pepper (in the background). Tannins are a bit mellow. Good length. Presence of a fine hint of caramelization and dark chocolate on the persistence.
