Château Fonroque 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers a certain concentration as well as purity (of the fruit). It reveals notes of Kirsch cherry, crushed raspberry and more lightly currants associated with touches of lilac, cornflowers as well as hints of zan and a subtle hint of spices. The palate is fruity, balanced, very discreetly tight and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, good definition, some tension, fat as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry and ripe raspberry associated with touches of lilac, cornflowers, fine hints of bright berry fruits, cherry with kirsch, zan as well as a subtle hint of chocolate and almond (in the background).
