Château Ferran 2012 – Pessac-Léognan

Château Ferran 2012 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fine, aromatic and slightly gourmand. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and fine notes of violet combined with spicy notes (support the fruit), Sichuan pepper, tobacco, a discreet hint of tea, discreet notes of cardamom as well as a very discreet touch of cinnamon and underbrush. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, relatively gourmande, relatively fleshy and offers fat, freshness, suavity, a good volume, a fine acidity as well as a nice mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry and blackberry associated with fine notes of cherry, black berries, liquorice as well as a discreet note of (slightly) caramelized oak. Tannins are fine. Good length and persistence with fine notes of cocoa / caramelization. Good job!
