Château Fayat 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, fresh, structured and offers concentration. It reveals notes of fresh raspberry, fleshy blackberry and more slightly cassis associated with fine touches of spices, tea, graphite as well as a discreet hint of toasted ans sweet spices/vanilla. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers suavity, gourmandize, a fine unctuosity, tension as well as an mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and more slightly fresh raspberry associated with fine touches of small red berries/fresh cherry, tonka bean, a hint of crushed nut (in the background) as well as a subtle hint of zan, spices and tobacco. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
