Château du Petit Puch 2016 – Graves de Vayres

Château du Petit Puch 2016 – Graves de Vayres

The nose is fruity, fresh, racy and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry and fresh berries associated with discreet hints of strawberry as well as a woody hint, racy minerality (terroir/graves) as well as a very discreet hint of chocolate. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful minerality, fat, a beautiful tension as well as a precise fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a hint of red fruits, cherry as well as a discreet hint of toasted oak and a very discreet hint of mocha (in the background). Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and persistence. There is a very discreet hint of coffee on the persistence.
