Château du Moulin à Vent – Les Vérillats 2016 – Moulin-à-Vent 

The nose is aromatic, powerful, elegant and offers concentration and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of cassis, toasted and small notes of juicy red berries associated with touches of vanilla, chocolate, racy minerality, blackberry, slight hints of spices as well as a discreet hint of pepper and grilled / coffee. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very slightly tight and offers a beautiful definition, juiciness, a beautiful guideline, fat, a mineral frame (fine minerality), a fine tension, finesse / delicacy as well as a discreetly unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, juicy plum and small notes of cassis, juicy / crunchy red berries associated with touches of minerality, chocolate, cardamom, grilled as well as a very discreet hint of flowers. Tannins are fine, elegant and slightly firm. Good length. (2020)
