Château d’Ollwiller – Riesling Vieilles Vignes 2014 – Alsace Grand Cru Ollwiller

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight richness as well as a slight elegance. It reveals notes of ripe lemon, ripe apple and slight notes of white fruits, pomelo associated with a hint of flint (terroir) as well as a very discreet hint of flowers. There is an imperceptible hint of gray pepper (in the background) which appears after aeration/work in the glass. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acid frame, a slight minerality, a slight unctuosity, tension, a good definition, fat as well as a slight suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of lemon and slight notes of zests associated with hints of ripe white fruits as well as a hint of exotic fruits. Good length and persistence.
