Château Doisy-Daëne, Grand Cru Classé en 1855, 2021 – Barsac

The wine has a golden color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant, fresh and lemony. It expresses notes of freshly grated lemon zest, candied lemon peel, fresh orange zest, candied orange peel, a bitter touch of grapefruit, as well as gourmand notes of stone fruits. (fresh apricot, yellow peach), fresh pineapple and passion fruit. We also find notes of white flowers (acacia, apple blossom, chamomile), as well as a toasted and vanilla touch in the background. The palate offers complexity and freshness. It expresses notes of ripe yellow peach, juicy apricot, fresh pineapple, candied lemon peel, orange zest, passion fruit, combined with notes of linden, chamomile and acacia, as well as a touch of vanilla and toasted hazelnut in the background. The finish is persistent and offers a beautiful salivating acidity and a pleasant bitterness which balance the richness of the wine. Gourmandise, harmony and freshness on the palate.
