Château Doisy Daëne 2014 – Barsac, Grand Cru Classé

Château Doisy Daëne 2014 – Barsac, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, gourmand, racy and offers a slight richness as well as a slight incisive side. It reveals notes of kumquat, candied orange and pineapple in syrup associated with slight notes of ginger, dried apricot and small exotic fruits. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, well-defined, precise, suave, elegant and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a very beautiful unctuous matter, a beautiful delicacy/expression, straightness as well as a very slight juiciness. In the mouth this Sauternes expresses notes of candied lemon, candied mandarin and slight notes of candied pineapple, kumquat associated with a hint of peach in syrup, dried apricot puree as well as slight hints of sweet spices, vanilla and a very discreet hint of almond. Good length. Beautiful, gourmande persistence with slight hints of candied citrus (lemon, clementine).
