Château d’Etroyes – La Sente aux grives 2019 – Mercurey 1er Cru

Pretty gourmand nose, intense, fine, precise and offers a tight side. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, clove, and more slightly notes of bright morello cherry associated with slight touches of vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, brightness, and energy as well as a nice acidity/pulp of the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/tangy blackberry, violet, and more slightly – hints of bright/tangy small red fruits associated with touches of tangy plum, hints of cornflower as well as slight hints of vanilla, and toast. Good length. A slight sapidity/salinity on the finish/persistence.
