Château des Matards – Cuvée Nathan 2012 – Blaye Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic and relatively gourmand. It reveals notes of boysenberry, strawberry and fine notes of cassis combined with touches of spices as well as a discreet hint of black tea and a hint of underbrush. The palate is fruity and offers a racy minerality, a good definition, a good structure, volume and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of boysenberry and fine notes of wild strawberry, raspberry associated with discreeet notes of juicy wild black fruits as well as fine touches of sweet spices, oak and a fine salinity. Tannins are fine and supple. Good length and persistence.
