Château des Gimarets – L’esprit de Ma terre 2015 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is fruity and offers a slight concentration. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed cassis and slight notes of fresh wild strawberry combined with discreet hints of liquorice, toasted oak as well as a very discreet / imperceptible hint of flowers (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a nice mineral frame, a slight acidity (in the background), a good structure as well as delicacy and silkiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / ripe blackberries, raspberry and subtle touches of ripe / fresh redcurrant combined with subtle touches of fresh plum / cherry as well as a hint of Zan, toasted hint and a discreet hint of spices. Tannins are fine and a bit firm. There are a hint of liquorice and a very discreet hint of caramelization on the aftertaste.
