Château de Valcombe 2016 – Costières de Nimes 

The nose is fruity, slightly tight, and offers a small freshness, a fine juiciness as well as a small racy minerality. It reveals notes of ripe lemon zest and citrus associated with subtle hints of minerality / sandstone. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built, racy and offers fat, a fine acid frame (in the background), tension as well as a very slight chalky side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon zest, ripe mandarin orange zest, citrus and racy minerality associated with a slight chalky side as well as discreet hints of juicy / fresh exotic fruit (lychee / pineapple) in the background and a very discreet hint of butter (in the background). Good length.
