Château de Candale 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, concentration (full of finesse-, deepness and a beautiful grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe raspberry and small notes of gray pepper associated with very fine hints of small wild fruits, chocolate, pink pepper, violet as well as a very discreet hint of almond and graphite (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, precision, elegance as well as an acidulous/mineral frame (racy minerality). On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy/crushed cassis and small notes of raspberry associated with very fine hints of violet plum, strawberry, sweet spices, chocolate/toasted as well as a subtle hint of caramelized almond (in the background). Tannins are structuring and very slightly marked on the persistence. A subtle hint of bitterness (chocolate/flowers) on the persistence.
