Château d’Aiguilhe 2017 – Castillon Cotes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic, fruity, gourmand, well-built and offers a fine richness/power (in the background). It reveals notes of cassis and fleshy wild strawberry associated with fine touches of blackberry, discreet touches of red berries/cherry as well as discreet hints of caramelization and a subtle hint of lily (in the background). The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a nice fat, suavity as well as a fine creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy strawberry and more slightly juicy red berries associated with fine touches of cassis,  cornflower/lily, a hint of sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of toasted almond, saline minerality, a subtle touche of vanilla and a discreet hint of liquorice. Tannins are fine and well-built. Beautiful suave and gourmand finish.
