The nose is elegant, racy, aromatic, full and offers a captivating side as well as finesse. There are notes of fairly ripe blackberry, crushed cassis and more slightly camphor associated with touches of violet, pulpy plum, crushed small red fruits, fine hints of tobacco, cornflowers as well as a subtle hint of cardamom, tonka bean and a very discreet hint almost Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a mineral frame, acidity, richness of the fruit as well as a certain tension / energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe cassis, very ripe blackberry and more slightly violet associated with small touches of fairly ripe wild red berries, plum, fine hints of cardamom, cloves as well as ‘with a subtle hint of nutmeg and toasted hazelnut. Presence of a subtle hint of juicy / tart red berries on the finish / persistence.
