Château Climens 2011 – Barsac, 1er Cru Classé de Sauternes

Beautiful and elegant nose which offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, a certain power in measure / delicacy as well as a small richness while delicacy. It reveals notes of kumquat, dried apricot and small notes of pineapple in syrup associated with fine hints of spices as well as a discreet hint of verbena, acacia flowers and saffron. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, racy, tense and offers delicacy, richness in measure, fat, a nice deepness, a small stretched side, a beautiful work on the bitterness, a beautiful grain as well as a beautiful silky / delicate and precise side (all in precision). On the palate, this wine expresses notes of dried apricot, kumquat and small notes of sweet zest associated with fine touches of saffron, brioche, fine hints of verbena, candied ginger as well as a subtle hint of spices, almonds and honey. A discreet hint of good bitterness in the background. A beautiful aromatic all in subtlety and power. Presence of a discreet hint of verbena (in the background) and an imperceptible almost saline hint. A beautiful Barsac wine which is still a ” baby ” and which therefore needs a few years before being able to reveal its full potential (minimum + 10 years).
