Château Bellefont-Belcier 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and offers gourmandize as well as a fine richness / unctuosity. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis, violet and small touches of strawberry associated with fine touches of caramelization, fine toasted touches and a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background). The mouth is fresh, juicy, well-balanced, precise, gourmande and offers a small unctuosity, a beautiful definition, roundness, a racy mineral frame (in the background), fat, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a fine suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy / crushed cassis and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with small / fine touches of chocolate, caramelized oak, a discreet touch of vanilla, subtle hints of sweet spices as well as a very discreet toasted hint (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Tannins are well-built and structuring.
