Champagne Perrier-Jouët – Belle Epoque 2011 – Brut

Champagne Perrier-Jouët – Belle Epoque 2011 – Brut

The nose is fresh, elegant, flattering and offers a fine intensity (in the background). It reveals notes of fresh apple and touches of white flowers (acacia, hawthorn…), orange flowers associated with hints of citrus, pear, crunchy peach as well as discreet hints of crushed quenette, almond and a very discreet hint of biscuit. The palate is fruity, beautifully well-balanced, elegant, harmonious an offers a chalky minerality (terroir), freshness, an acidulous frame, a beautiful precision as well as delicacy. The effervescence is very beautifully fine, precise and delicate. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of fresh apple, crunchy peach and small notes of fresh flowers associated with a touch of citrus, a hint of lemon cream, pineapple, discreet hints of sweet spices/bee wax as well as an imperceptible hint of apple tree flowers and an imperceptible vinous hint (in the background). Good length and persistence.
