A penetrating nose with hints of berries, mountain flowers, cloves, rhubarb and a fine spiciness followed by tones of undergrowth. In the mouth, its elegant and balanced structure is enveloped by a ripe tannic texture. The sip is lively with good tension, traversed by a fresh-savoury texture that encourages drinkability. Very persistent, with spicy tones in the finale.
The 70-hectare winery, founded in 1969 by Alfons Giovanett, is now run by his young grandchildren: Ivan, oenologist, and Ines, sales manager.
